The first Test match between West Indies and England ended in a draw after an entire session was washed out on day 4. Nkrumah Bonner and Jason Holder added an unbeaten 80 for the fifth wicket to defy the English bowlers, especially Jack Leach, who was looking dangerous. Leach claimed three wickets to reduce West Indies to 67/4.
Having claimed only 9.25% of points on offer, England are still at the bottom of the points table of the World Test Championship 2021-23. West Indies are just above them, winning only one out of five matches.
