Although Bangladesh have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, they will still be playing with the same vigour and zeal, as ten points for ICC ODI Super League are up for the grab. Zimbabwe will do all in their might to avoid getting clean-swept.
Shakib Al Hasan starred in the last game, and finally snapped his woeful run of form with the bat. Apart from picking up two wickets, the all-rounder remained unbeaten on 96 to see his team past the target.
Tamim Iqbal has struggled to pile up runs this series. He is currently nursing a minor knee injury, but is expected to feature in the last ODI. His opening partner, Liton Das, scored a century in the first game.
But the real concern for them has been a lack of output from their middle-order. Mohammad Mithun and Mosaddek Hossain haven’t really stepped up to the challenges. Mustafizur Rahman has fully recovered from ankle injury, and he is expected to lead the pace attack.
Zimbabwe, on the other hand, have struggled to get their batting combination right. Their openers, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe and Tadiwanashe Marumani, have failed to provide them with a decent start on both occasions.
Apart from the opening pair, most of the batters got starts in the second ODI, but none managed to onvert into something substantial. The team is heavily reliant on the likes of Brendan Taylor and Regis Chakabva.
- Tamim Iqbal hasn’t yet performed as per expectation in the series. He is due a big score, so putting a punt on him won’t be a bad move.
- Shakib Al Hasan is having a terrific campaign. He claimed a five-for in the first ODI, and followed it with an unbeaten 96 in the second. He should be the first choice as an all-rounder in your fantasy XI.
- From Zimbabwe, Brendan Taylor as a batter is a safe bet to have. Other than him, Blessing Muzarabani would be an ideal pick to complete your bowling line-up.
